Scope of Work
The scope of this is to acquire one temporary consultant to support the Service Provision work in NCSA SDD SDSB SRTC. The consultant will routinely perform the following during the execution of daily work:
· Lead and supervise the Service Request Tracking and Control Section
· Monitor the Service Delivery process through SRTS
· Ensure by organizational means and by adjusting the business process the timely completion of delivery
· Develop and report tracking data to higher echelon on periodic basis
· Develop procedures and operating instructions relevant to SRTS
· Maintain records and database relevant to SRTS capabilities and performance
· Function as POC for both users and headquarters for all logistical and operational issues relevant to SRTS
· Any other related tasks assigned
The consultant will be expected to perform the duties of the position Service Request Tracking and Control Manager in NCSA SDD SDSB SRTC.
Background and Site Information
The consultant will work in NCSA SDD SDSB SRTC. The present location is in the SHAPE Command Center which is an underground facility located in Casteau Belgium.
Essential qualifications
Education / Training
A University Degree in Communications or related discipline and 4 years post related experience or Higher Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training in that discipline leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 5 years post related experience.
Professional Experience
· The consultant must have experience in Information Systems Engineering and Maintenance in the field of Electronic Systems Engineering, with speciality in Maintenance and Operations on Telecommunications Equipment.
· The consultant’s experience should also cover equipment for non-deployable telecommunication sites to radios, automatic message distribution systems, technical control facilities, and other electronic systems.
· The consultant should be knowledgeable on the Service Delivery Process in NCSA and tools used in NCSA.
English Language
The consultant will have to go through language test in SHAPE to demonstrate the SLP 3333 level of proficiency in English language.
Desirable qualifications
· Experience in planning and system management of large military communication networks, interfaces and protocols.
· Experience in long haul, high capacity and performance communication systems.
· Knowledge of the responsibilities of communication staffs, functions performed at NCSA.
· Knowledgeable in functioning of SRTS
Security Clearance
The consultant and any office equipment used by the consultant, shall meet the security requirements (NATO SECRET security clearance) in order to have access to NATO FACILITIES and classified information, locations and restricted areas within these locations.
