REF #6704 Service Request Tracking Manager (A3) – 2.5 year contract; Casteau, Belgium

Scope of Work

The consultant will support the Service Provision work in NCSA SDD SDPB SDPC, routinely performing the following during the execution of daily work:

·         Verify the contents for completeness of the Service Request

·         Ensure that an operational validation has been obtained

·         Ensure that the process of obtaining a security accreditation has been started

·         Reject or accept Service Requests prioritise Service Requests

·         Forward SR to Service Allocation Branch upon completion

·         Maintain records and database about current NCSA Service capabilities

·         Produce Operating instructions for Service Delivery Planning

·         Any other related tasks assigned

 

The consultant will be expected to perform the duties of the position CCC DPP 0050 (Service Request Manager) in NCSA SDD SDPB SDPC. 

 

The consultant will work in NCSA SDD SDPB SDPC.  The present location is in the SHAPE Command Center which is an underground facility located in Casteau Belgium.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Essential qualifications

Education / Training

A University Degree in Communications or related discipline and 2 years post related experience or Higher Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training in that discipline leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 4 years post related experience.

 

Professional/Experience

·         The consultant must have experience in Information Systems Engineering and Maintenance in the field of Electronic Systems Engineering, with speciality in Maintenance and Operations on Telecommunications Equipment.

·         The consultant’s experience should also cover equipment for non-deployable telecommunication sites to radios, automatic message distribution systems, technical control facilities, and other electronic systems.

·         The consultant should be knowledgeable on the Service Delivery Process in NCSA and tools used in NCSA.

 

English Language

The consultant will have SLP 3333 level of proficiency in English language.

 

Desirable qualifications

·         Experience in planning and system management of large military communication networks, interfaces and protocols.

·         Experience in long haul, high capacity and performance communication systems.

·         Knowledge of the responsibilities of communication staffs, functions performed at NCSA.

·         Knowledgeable in functioning of SRTS

 

Security Clearance

The consultant and any office equipment used by the consultant, shall meet the security requirements (NATO SECRET security clearance) in order to have access to NATO FACILITIES and classified information, locations and restricted areas within these locations.
